da Vinci Concept:Our Community
From da Vinci Concept
Why did you create da Vinci Concept?
Perhaps you've had this experience: as part of a vital, engaged group, you and the other members came up with ideas furiously; you gave each other feedback and critique unstinting in merited praise and suggestions; the other members won your respect with their work and their thoughtful review of yours; the mix of the group's interactions was heady and full of striking, unexpected ideas due to the diversity of background and expertise each member brought to the discussion. Old-timers to the art offered seasoned advice, and newcomers found their own unique and startling voices. Incredible work came out of the group; skills were honed; and friendships were made.
This is only a fleeting description of my first poetry workshop class. This may describe your engineering lab group, a studio art class from two years ago, a science and society workshop you attended for a week, the biodiesel group from ten years ago, or even a disbanded online community you wrote for. My workshop classmates are far scattered, and that intelligently alive forum is no longer a resource I can tap into for collaboration critique, inspiration, or teaching.
Creating such an alive, spirited mix for the purpose of recognizing problems and posing solutions is the goal of da Vinci Concept.
Who are you recruiting to da Vinci Concept?
We are recruiting intelligent people with many skills and from as many backgrounds as possible. The high level of sustainable solutions and ideas we want to pursue do not exist in a vacuum. The result of bringing to bear multiple knowledge and skill sets from seemingly unrelated fields upon a problem is inadequately explored. It makes sense that the more diverse a mix of people at da Vinci Concept, the more the community will have to offerr in terms of collaborators, intelligent reviews, and inspiring work. Thus we are recruiting every intelligent person who values the production of solutions that are not merely temporary bandages, but great enough to stand up to ages of time and still have something to offer to future problems. We are in the market of not generating solutions to specific problems, but problem-solving in general.
Use this resource. Build it by word of mouth.
Enjoy, The da Vinci Concept Admin
