Sign Your Posts
To quote Wikipedia [1]: "Signing your posts prevents readers from getting your messages confused with those by other users. On talk pages, it is proper etiquette to sign your messages. To do this, add four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your message. When you save the page, these will be converted to your signature followed by a time stamp. The standard "sig" is your username, but you can customize it in your preferences menu. To include your signature without a time stamp, use three tildes (~~~) instead."
Editing Your Past Work
Please read the da Vinci Concept copyright notice and its accompanying discussion to find the minor restrictions on changing old work and posts.
Editing the Pages or Works of Others
- You may 'edit' the work of others, but you should assume that you need to ask permission first.
- Editing a user page that is not yours should be avoided unless the user has expressly asked you for help. A user page is any page that starts off with "User": e.g. User:Truc Ha:Sandbox.
- Respect any tags or notices declaring that a work is not to be edited by other than the author(s).
Editing Community Pages
- It is highly recommended that you make a demo version of any major changes to major pages such as the main page or the Community Portal. This can be accomplished by making yourself a "sandbox" page under your namespace for it. E.G. User:Truc Ha:Sandbox
