Namespace

  • Namespaces are seen in our links. For instance, the link to this page is Help:Definitions, where the namespace Help can be seen to hold this document you are viewing, which is called Definitions.
  • One can think of namespaces as names for projects occuring within virtual spaces within the world of Poetic Authoring, our wiki. Because you are in fact creating virtual real estate, consider your names very carefully so that they make sense. Name responsibly.
  • Namespaces are dynamic: because they are virtual, we can change and expand them to our will, by adding more links. For instance, this document, Definitions, can become a project space all its own once I start making links that might read Help:Definitions:Cooking Jargon.
  • For a more technical definition of namespaces, see the Mediawiki namespace article or the more theoretical Wikipedia namespace article.
