Non-ideological differentiations do not denote an ideological distinction

The problem is stated generally as there are many examples of this problem perpetuated in our society. That any single group based on non-ideological differentiator (male/female, race) can determine how an individual in that group things, what they believe, or how they behave.
Even if someone purports to belong to a special interest group and has a given ideology that can be expressed clearly, their interests are not tied to the group of individuals of all creeds, but to the ideologically specific issues that may be common across the group.
The corollary is the idea that one can discriminate one's values against a non-ideological interest group. (Here I am using the term 'to discriminate' as opposed to 'prejudice' or 'to pre-judge'.) This is a set-up for disaster. Not only will one get it wrong what someone is about, but will likely go farther and believe that certain pre-judgements concerning their supposed ideology hold true.
There is more to this problem that is worth consideration.
